Job description
Responsibilities:
– Assist in the preparation of income tax returns, including transfer pricing documentation, disclosures, and coordination of R&D and PRRT processes.
– Support tax effect calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
– Prepare BAS, IWHT, GST, FBT, and Payroll Tax returns.
– Contribute to year-end statutory reports, including notes and commentary.
– Manage month-end closing processes, reconciliations, and accruals.
– Maintain the fixed assets register, inventory, and general ledger accounts.
– Assist in all aspects of direct and indirect tax as required, collaborating with stakeholders including HQ.
– Perform other ad hoc duties as directed by the finance manager.
Requirements:
– Substantial experience in accounting and tax within a corporate environment.
– Proactive, hands-on attitude with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
– Highly desirable: Knowledge of SAP, experience in joint venture accounting, and CPA/CA qualifications.
– Proficiency in speaking and writing Korean at a professional level is desirable for effective communication with the headquarters in South Korea.
– Australian work visa holders, permanent residents, or citizens eligible to work legally.
